Mesotherapy has been used in Europe for about 50 years. It involves the injection of an extract of soybeans call phoshatidyl choline. it is injected in small amounts about one inch apart. The standard concentration is 50 mg/ml. Other vitamins can be added to the injection to increase the effect. A heat sensation develops after a few minutes which lasts about a day. Localized swelling always occurs and lasts one week. The use of oral bromelain form pineapple 2 three times a day will decrease swelling. Exercise if possible is recommended to speed the process and move the material through the fat. No Needle Mesotherapy offers mesotherapy without needles but requires about 8 sessions followed by follow up sessions every 2 months. No needle mesotherapy is more expensive because of the equipment, and time involved and the follow up sessions than traditional mesotherapy. Mesotherapy according to the Lipodissolve protocols require only 3-4 sessions and are less expensive than liposuction or lipolaser. Fees vary from 300 a session up to 500 per session for multiple areas with amaximum of 50 cc of injections. Before and after phots are available on docshop under Advanced dermatology.
